Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Personal Care Assistance (PCA) is a healthcare program designed to provide services to seniors and people with disabilities, enabling them to remain independent in their community. PCA workers offer covered services in the comfort of a person's home or community, ensuring they receive the care they need.

PCA covers four basic categories of services which include activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), health-related procedures and tasks, and observation and redirection of behaviors. ADLs include dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, positioning, transfers, and mobility, while IADLs include shopping, paying bills, and meal preparation. Health-related procedures and tasks involve supporting a person with self-administered medications or help with range of motion exercises, and observation and redirection of behaviors involve monitoring a person’s behaviors and redirecting them to more positive behaviors when needed.  If you are interested in obtaining some of these services, we recommend booking a consultation with us today. Our team will be happy to assist you in finding the right services for your needs.
