Sabrina Saab was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1980. She is of Lebanese-Dutch descent and plays the clarinet and saxophone. She is also and accomplished singer
As a 3 year old, Sabrina showed immense interest in music by picking up the recorder, on her own initiative, and faultlessly playing melodies from musicals. At the age of 17, Sabrina was guided to the clarinet and this has been a resounding success ever since.
Although Sabrina, at an early age was identified as a child with special needs, she was able to complete mainstream music levels, many with distinction and merit, under the guidance of her tutors, June Bonfield-Brown in England and Zbigniew in Cyprus.
Through the years, a special bond developed with her teacher and musical mentor in Cyprus, Zbigniew Irzenski, the result of which is this wonderful CD. Sabrina demostrates the qualities of a professional player, mastering many elements of pitch, tonality and timing in her performance.
Sabrina hopes to help other children in need, and to provide by her own example, encouragement and inspiration.
